Finished Basement/Insulated Walls
Problem:
Are your basement/crawl walls properly insulated?
Solution:
Having proper insulated walls greatly improves your basement or crawlspace’s ability to be at, or above dew point temperatures and avoid condensation and mold formation. Having uninsulated walls, keeps your basement walls too cold compared to the rest of the home, a common problem for many homes. During summer months the temperature difference in replenishment air and foundation walls is enough to create condensation;the condensation may not always be visible, but may be in vapor form. This is a major contributing factor in moisture problems in the basement area, showing the importance of insulating your walls. Having potential condensation issues under control before they occur, is an important tool to keep our basements and crawlspaces dry.

External Moisture/Water Seepage
Problem:
Do you have any visible external water seepage or leakage in your basement or crawlspace?
Solution:
To reduce humidity levels inside your home’s basement/crawlspace and benefit from your AirTech Humidity Control System, external water leakage must be addressed and controlled. Standing water is a clear sign of external water leakage. Seepage after a rain shower is also a clear example of problems much more extensive than high humidity levels. Contact your local waterproofing contractor for help in sealing your foundation. AirTech Products are a preventative solution to humidity problems, and only once water seepage/leakage are addressed and controlled will you have the complete benefits of the system.
